This was our biggest project to date. We worked tirelessly to make sure that we created a one-of-a-kind space for our client. The deck alone is bigger than most homes.
We had a canvas to envy- A beautiful 1700 era colonial home. Although it had seen many renovations over the years, we wanted to provide a renovation that could be a testament to its timeless history. The client decided it was time to strip the home back to its roots and we demolished it right to its timber frame. We wanted to respect its history, so most of the timbers were reused and even the existing nails were saved.
A testament to the pioneers who built the home, we cut down the pine trees on the property and milled them to provide the floorboards. We reused as many boards as we could and procured additional pine trees to make sure that the flooring finish was complete throughout.
Two kitchens with Starmark cabinets and beautiful countertops were installed along with top-of-the-line kitchen appliances. Multiple structural improvements were performed to optimize the layout. We also added a complete 8 x 52' wing and 11 x 14' dining addition to make sure that the client had space for generations to come.
All new HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing was installed to ensure that the client had reliability for years to come. Even though these amenities were updated, most of the techniques to build the original home were preserved in the bricklaying, New England wall Construction, and general carpentry.
We are so proud of this renovation and are so thankful for our client to let us do this home the right way.
